Has spring arrived? Dost thou see plumes of pollen dancing across our fields and meadows through the great state of South Carolina? Do whippoorwills call in the night time?
I think so. And because it is so, the time must likewise have come for the 2025 Super Lawyer results to be unveiled! Each spring, the world waits on tenterhooks, longing to know whether their favorite employment & labor attorney–me, obvs–has made the cut once more.
Oh, ye of little faith! For the results are in, and yet again my name is writ in flame upon the glossy page of yon Super Lawyers Magazine. Flame, like the streaming trail of light that marks my selection as a Rising Star in the area of Employment & Labor! [The link to the online version of the magazine is available here.]
Still rising, you ask? Haven’t you been a Rising Star for the past seven (six? eight?) years by this point? How high, you ask, can a Star like Jeremy R. Summerlin truly Rise?
This is no limit, my friends. There is no peak. We are not riding on any mere parabola of success, where a downturn remains inevitable.
For we Stars remain ever above you, watching over the world of employment & labor law with a benevolence that borders on sainthood. Send your pleas and your prayers heavenward, where I await to bestow upon you a series of social media posts extolling my humility and gratitude for this unbelievably high honor. Will these posts blend into the cacophony of competing posts, desperately craving the legitimacy and validation that come only from your “likes” and shares?
Of course not, dear friends. For these posts shine brighter, and rise higher, and express humility so much better than any others. You’re very welcome for being allowed to be a part of this journey. I love you all. I love mandatory attorney’s fee provisions even more.
